So Exactly How Did GGG Beat ALVAREZ? Who Has The BEST Sweet Science Sauce Answer?
I'll tell you why GGG didn't win!
1. Golovkin's All Time High MISSES
- Flicked Jabs around which Nelo, yes, at times ate and got served, but Nelo surprisingly flicked off jabs with from high guard to also flicking south.
2. Golovkin's Jab did not break down Alvarez
3. Golovkin had more success with his sledge hammer left hook vs missing consistently with his classic overhand right, the one that dropped Jacobs
4. How come GGG's power didn't break Alvarez?
5. Alvarez also helped the illusion that GGG was pressing forward where Nelo was baiting him to his pace. Golovkin knew this and was cautious. In fact, Alvarez was the more confident boxer in range challenging GGG with striking, up to the point where NELO's hands were LOW, dropped... Yet ggg couldn't capitalize with accurate follow ups on the ropes.
6. GGGs defense from Nelo's power shots wasn't effective...
