GGG won't want to be out of the ring until May 2018, I smell a rematch in September. Canelo will also want to face an older GGG.

Yup. If he's ready to fight in December there is no reason not to make the unification fight with BJS.

I don't see why not. Rematch clauses have to be exercised and Canelo has said he won't fight again until May. I assume there is a time limit on how long he has to exercise it but as long as GGG keeps winning the pressure will mount for him to do so. Plus, if he has any doubts as to his prospects in a rematch it only helps his case to let GGG keep fighting. If GGG loses then he can say that the rematch is unnecessary.

Most money is in a rematch but he can make good money fighting anyone. David Lemieux is probably next for him.
