Rigo/Loma will be better than Canelo/GGG and Kovalev/Ward

I think the Rigo Loma fight will outperform expectations and be the best big fight of the year.

Kovalev-Ward II was a disappointment I thought. Kovalev gassed and just didn't look that great in the rematch. Ward did what he had to do to win, but he didn't look spectacular doing it. Not a dynamite fight

GGG-Canelo was a great fight, although it didn't quite live up to my expectations. I think part of the reason the fight wasn't as explosive as I thought it was going to be, was because GGG simply isn't active/explosive enough... He sets things up in such an obvious way that it allowed Canelo to get off a few combinations and maneuver away. Only a madman would trade punch for punch with GGG and I can't expect Canelo or any fighter to do that... And GGG not being a super active Manny Pac type of fighter isn't able to to completely overwhelm his opponent with activity.... I think we got as good as we're going to get with that fight

Now, Rigo-Loma, on the other hand, is whole other animal... I think we'll see the most active Rigo we've ever seen in this fight... Loma has the talent to actually force Rigo to fight...and I think if Loma want to win this fight, he'll be forced to create action and get the better of the exchanges.... Thus, the "action" we get from this fight will be much more explosive/dynamic than in the other two fights... Both guys are super atheltic and fast...whereas in in the other two fights only one guy was fast (ward/canelo).... and this fight is free too

Loma is pretty entertaining, but I think he will be especially so against Rigo. Anyone watch him as an amateur? I expect to see him going after Rigo full stop. This won't be a staring contest.

Have you watched Rigo's amateur fights? He's crazy good.

I think this fight will be the fight we wanted from Manny/Floyd... Two special fighters that actually go at... unlike Manny and Floyd dancing around each other.... Unlike Manny, Loma isn't going to let Rigo outpoint him...Loma has more to prove at this point in his career than Manny did when he faced Floyd (thus his lax performance and training camp)...

Yeah, I am expecting that similar style. He fought that kind of style against Gary Russell Jr as well. Full on relentless aggression while somehow staying defensively responsible.

It will be a good fight. I would imagine the size advantage might be dangerous for Rigo.

Unlikely. Are people suddenly forgetting what a numbing agent Rigo can be? Put him with a guy who is going to fight smart and not just lay on volume like he does with low-level opponents and what you have is a chessmatch. I'm sure I'll enjoy the hell out of it but don't expect it to be exciting.

Ward/Kov II was pretty danm cool for those who were able to cope with the results.

I think it is a phenomenal matchup that will be just a very good fight, only because both are so good that they will not be able to connect as much on each other as they can on guys way below their skillset. Or maybe, because of their skillset, they will connect more often. So, how I see it is this is NOT going to be a boring fight, but rather a fairly entertaining chess match with plenty of activity, but the connect percentages should go down from their previous fights and that will keep it from being scintillating in the sense that a war would be. Draw or split decision is my best guess. A cerebral fans dream fight, but may not go the way they imagine it as far as the picturing of a bunch of exchanges.

Loma is going to fight smart but aggressively, so it won't be the usual Rigo show... UNLESS rigo is so good that he completely nullifies Loma's offense and puts on his usual show...But I doubt that... I think we'll see both fighters taking punches and getting hit clean more than they have in all their previous fights.

I think Rigo's reach and footwork is going to force Loma to do more than just box smart

Rigo is known to stink the joint out. What are you talking about? It will be a highly skilled and technical fight but there will be very few punches that land on both.

Loma is younger, bigger, as skilled and faster. The fight is at 130. Loma by ko.

If you think Loma is just going to pour it on Rigo, I respectfully think you're mistaken. Missing punches is EXHAUSTING and he's going to miss a lot with Rigo. I think Loma will do a lot of the light, feeler/range finder stuff but don't expect him to be making a lot of hard contact. This is going to be points fighting at it's finest.
