Lol.....Anyone who had Canelo winning the fight is either crazy or lying or a bit of both.
Oscar knows Canelo lost ......you can't win a fight being bludgeoned round after round and throwing the occasional flashy combo.
Oscar is a blind pro his fighter promoter that makes a complete *** of himself with his crazy comments.Comment

7-5 rounds to your favorite boxer.
This what people are seeing. It was close fight and im happy with a draw. Golovking did put more pressure at the end, but starter the first rounds slow, missing a lot of punches.
Canelo landed the cleaner punches.
Good defense at the begging.
GGG put more pressure and landed more punches at the end.
None looked supirior to the other.
I think Canelo didn't have enery to trow more punches so he had to keep moving.
GGG couldn't corner Canelo even though everyone says he is great ( that includes me) cornering his opponents.Comment

You're just surprised your money wasn't enough to buy the judges. Should invest in a conditioning coach for Canelo. The man has foughttwelve 12 round fights and STILL his stamina is garbage. That's what killed him last night. He could've won...Comment

You need to see him say this on the mic to really understand it though - he was being politic with his words, and the written account makes it sound like he's defending her, but you could tell he was not a happy bunny with the situation that the scorecard was eating up the entire press conference. He's pretty simple, just wanted to say 'it was the best fight of the decade, real close, my guy won, wouldn't you all love to pay to see it again ?', but all focus was on the Byrd card and 'what are you going to do about it ?' (question addressed to both the commission and the promoters).
DLH doesn't care, if Byrd had Golovkin 115-113 it would have suited him better as there wouldn't be any focus on the Byrd card and he could complain 'it was a close fight, my guy won, he deserves a rematch, wouldn't you all love to pay to see it again ?', and the promotion bandwagon is well underway. As it is a lot of attention right now that could be spent on the fight and Canelo's performance (which was good), is all focused on the Byrd card instead. Everyone loses thanks to her, DLH, Loeffler, Vegas, boxing, Canelo, Golovkin...Comment

Canelo paid homage to Fishnets by utilizing the, "circle around the ring for minutes at a time in order to not get knocked out" strategy he used against Trinidad. Seriously though, this is the first "controversial" megafight in a while where there's little to no argument among hardcore OR casual fans as to who really won. Oscar has to say what he did, but he knows his boy lost.Comment

I'm rescoring the fight right now and Canelo didn't do anything in the first round. GGG outlanded him 2-to-1. I scored it 10-10 though. The 2nd was a clear GGG round rewatching it on mute, and rewatching the exchanges where it's hard to see what landed in order to make sure I saw every punch if it connected or missed. So was round 3. Round 4 everyone has for GGG. That's as far as I've gotten. I'm like you I had it very close watching live, because Canelo's punches snapped GGG's head more, but when you slow it down you can see that's more just a speed thing. Canelo's punches look flashier due to speed, that's it. And a lot like GGG-jacobs, when you slow down exchanges you see a lot of them you thought landed were actually blocked, or on the leg because GGG had the body covered, etc etc. Rewatching it it's very clear GGG won pretty wide to me, but that's just my opinion. Rewatch it and see what you think.Comment
