    You would have never thought ggg was a gold medalist with 350 fights

    His skill looked just plain bad and caveman like very ugly combinations and was looking clumsy at times.

    Yet Canelo the guy with the short amateur background looked razor sharp text book combinations and beautiful upper body movement.

        kostya tszyu had a long amateur career too and he retired right around GGG's age. and he had 100 less amateur fights than GGG.

        the soviets wasted their primes in the amateurs.

            Well people have to understand the amateurs are a completely different game than the pros. If anything, it helped Canelo's pro style to not have such a prolonged amateur career (I think like 40 matches). With that said, I had GGG winning 8-4 and many other people did as well so not sure this argument is the best to make here.
