The Problem W/ Pressure Fighters Is They R Not Given benefit of Doubt Like Boxers...

For example, GGG for the first times in his career has had close fights with Jacobs and Canelo(less close than jacobs) and people are arguing that he lost.

They say pressure fighters don't age well blah blah blah

The fact is...... doesn't Ward and Mayweather both have close decisions regularly?

Are the Jacobs/Canelo fights as close as Mayweather/Maidana/Castillo/Pacquiao?

Are they as close as Ward/Froch/Kovalev/Bika? Even Abraham I thought won 5 rounds

Or how about Bernard, his entire late run is based on close decisions.

That is the psychological perception of a fight. GGG's fights are not blow outs like they normally are so he lost or he declined!

All Mayweather's fights r close and low volume, so he won!

I agree with that. It seems, generally, that the guy on the back foot is deemed the "boxer" and gets the benefit of the doubt. When in reality, it's possible for a fighter to come forward and still be the better boxer and outbox the guy on the back foot

Ward for example beat Froch by round in his hometown with his hometown ref and judges.

that is just messed up because if they fought in Nottingham with a ref that actually penalizes and fair judges, Ward easily could've lost that fight.

Not to mention Kova fights. lmao

yet he's seen as some great. it's almost better to just fight minimalistically and never take any risk because you'll be given the benefit of the doubt. that's killing boxing.
