I don't think he would last 3 rounds with any of these guys.
He has a ways to go in his development before he's ready to make that big a leap.

I think a fight between him and Soliman would be interesting.

I may have been exaggerating. But only slightly!

i have a couple of his fights on tape, he has really good power, and a great left hook. in his 8th pro fight he blew away 16-0 lenord pierre in 1 round on espn. he looks to have a good chin too.

He has a huge Irish fan base and is making more cash than alot of top boxers so I don't think he will be stepping it up anytime soon. As long as he can stay undefeated and continue fighting the level boxers he faces why take a risk?

What a great observation. A boxing prospect wouldnt last 3 rounds against top contenders and and champions in the division! Seriously boxingscene should start paying you to post on the forums, you got some serious inside info.

But reguardless Duddy has fought good opposition for a man who has fought 16 pro fights. Like a poster mentioned before he fought Pierre who was Kevin Rooney's top prospect in his 9th pro fight, Pierre was in his 17th pro fight and Duddy Ko'd him in 1. Duddy also has fought the tought vet Pat Coleman and former Canadian champ Byron Mackie, TKOing both. Just as a side note as well, Duddy fought journeyman wilmer meija in his 14th pro fight while other top prospect joel juilo fought him in his 27th pro fight.

And Duddy's opponet this weekend freddie cuevas is a good test he fought and lost a 12 rd UD to Jermain Taylor, 8 more fights after fighting cuevas, Taylor fought hopkins for the world title. So I am guessing we could judge Duddy and how far away he is from a title shot with this fight. A lot of ppl want a piece of him b/c he is makin big $, Irish champs Jim Rock and Matt Macklin included, those would be some good fights along with a Wille Gibbs, Daniel Edouard, Antwun Echols, and to cap it off like some one mentioned before Sam Soliman would be an awesome fight, along with Miranda down the line

If Duddy ever becomes a champion, a movie will be released instantly detailing his amazing journey from northern Ireland to the middleweight champion of the world, somehow a 50 year old Tom Cruise will get to play Duddy whilst attempting a ludicrous northern Irish accent.

Seriously this dude must be a massive draw. I'd be loving it if I was Macklin, a fight with Duddy would be worth more money than he ever could have imagined.

                  agreed crumble

and for another side note it is good to have two of my favorite fighters on the same card, Pauile and Duddy. I would have went but I spent most of my money for the Gatti fight in the AC (So im ordering the Pauile and Duddy fight), I was hopin another one of my favs would be on the Gatti card in July, Jason Litzau like in January but he'll be fighting on ESPN on July 14, so check him out

Boxingscene couldn't afford me. You may think I am pointing out the obvious, but I have seen too many people claim Duddy is a top 10 middleweight and can fight with the best of them. I honestly don't think he will EVER be at that level, but that's my opinion. Duddy is 16-0. Abraham was 19-0 when he won the IBF belt. Not to far fetched to say he COULD be fighting one of the above mentioned guys within the year. The realty as I stated is even if he had the opportunity he would turn it down and continue to fight at the level where he is at. Hey, I don't blame him I would do the same thing. Why change a good thing? There are enough people behind that think he is a future champ and they will continue to pay big bucks watch him fight B class fighters. And yes this upcoming fight will be a good test to see how well Duddy does.
