    Golovkin's flaws.

What would you say are some of GGG's flaws?

Golovkin totally abandoned the body attack against Canelo. He was headhunting the whole night and as a result was not able to mix up his punch combinations. I think it was a big mistake by GGG not to go to the body.

It's definitely something he can add to the rematch

Beat me too it lol. I was just about to say he didn't stage a body attack like he normally does. That's usually one of his strengths.

He leads with his chin. Canelo didn't have elite power at 154 and has probably average power at 160. If GGG fights good quality fighters with power at 160 he's eventually going to get KOed. He took some brutal shots from the smaller man. Defense overall is below average.

He didn't set up at right hand properly. He often shot that straight right and missed Canelo as he was on the move along the ropes. GGG needed to get himself to the left of Canelo before firing that right. Abandoning the body attack was a bad idea. Canelo has a great chin, but he only had the wind to fig one minute of each round. A body attach would have gassed him even more.

He relies too much on his jab and so tends to abandon using hooks and body punching.

He overall needs a better conditioning coach (if he does have one), he seems amateur trained and a bit slow/fatigued/overtrained.

He needs to sometimes move laterally and not only stepping back.
