No most fans and judges are dumb at scoring boxing just look at the previous fight Rojos must have landed 50 hard right hands to the body and still lost the fight

      Clearly not!

The evidence of who won the fight was right there in their faces and still see GGG a guy who just came forward and lanes some jabs win the fight!

While another man in Canelo landed the more clean and harder punches and went to the body more!

Boxing criteria for scoring needs to be coached to people!

I think people score them. The greater problem with body shots is due to the judges setup around the ring its one of the easiest to not see landing punches there is by 1 or all 3 judges. So idk that there is a anti-body shot judging conspiracy going on so much as its impossible to give as much credit to a punch you don't see.

I was thinking about this debate the other day. As to me, it seems to come around after every close fight. It seems to be a Boxing Scene cliché.

I'm not aiming this at thread starter, this thread, or this fight..just fights and boxingscene in general.
I think when a fight is close, and posters want to debate for or against the guy they were rooting for/against, the 'Why don't we score body shots' line comes out.

I'd be surprised if people don't score body shots. Why wouldn't they? It's been a big and important part of boxing since day one. Always will be.
Cuadras got credit for early body work on here just last week against Estrada.

I noticed Canelo's body work, yet i still scored for GGG.
The huge majority of media, fighters etc scored the fight for GGG, i doubt they all ignore and don't credit body work.

It's becoming a a Boxing Scene buzz phrase, but it's not always applicable to every competitive fight.
