Canelo is the Boxer and Golovkin is the Fighter

Canelo's one problem has been when he's faced the smaller man like Floyd, Lara, Trout, Mosley and Cotto he's decided to box as opposed to open more and fight them the way GGG did with Kell Brook and Kassim Ouma.

Canelo's been boxing his whole career whether he's with a puncher or with a boxer. Golovkin on the other hand will box the likes of Curtis Stevens and David Lemiux but he was never really the boxer, not even in his amateur days where he fought Dirrel, Despaigne and Lucian Bute. I am not saying that Golovkin is a bad boxer but when push comes to shove and he starts getting hit he is willing to take some shots in order to punish you. Canelo will box you whether you outobox him or not. Case in point the Floyd and Lara fights.

So Canelo has boxed on a much higher level than GGG and I expect him to outbox GGG. Now as soon as this starts happening GGG will go back to what he's always done and that's take 2,3 punches to land 1. I am just not sure that he can steamroll Canelo the way he's done everybody else and Nelo is the best body puncher that Gennady will have faced, and we all know that's his weakness. 50/50 fight

Golovkin does not have one of the best jabs of the sport, its a heavy shot but it's not sharp nor quick

Opponents have landed on him at one of the lowest rates in the game next to Floyd, but, apparently, he's getting hit more than he's hitting others somehow.

Canelo is flash and Golovkin is substance.

His jab is strong, accurate, and comes at different levels and speeds. It's well educated and is one of, if not, the best jab in the game today.

Only Mayweather and Wlad could compete and they both retired.

A jab can sharp and quick but it has to land and have a purpose. Golovkin's jabs land at a high percentage their hard and they disrupt his opponents rythum and game plan.
