    yeah youre very right. So many fights could of changed, and the person who got tko'd could have survived if they take the knee or touch down smartly.

    I can think of one fight where the guy who surely could of been tko'd got the win. Chico corrales going down 3 times in one round. He was fatigued, got up at 9 having his glove on the canvas (a british ref would of waved it off and it was weeks lol)

    got up, had 15 - 20 seconds when he took out his mouth piece. tko corrales.

    id say thats similar. miguel gets called kneeguel occasionally by people, but its more of a joke.

      No, I think it's useless. It counts as a knockdown and costs the boxer 2 points when he was not knocked down. If the boxer is helpless but still on his feet then stop the fight and call it a tko. The boxer himself can take a knee at any time and give himself an 8 count if he thinks he needs one.
