Comments Thread For: Joseph Diaz: I Want To Send a Message To Gary Russell, Haymon!

Joseph 'JoJo' Diaz does not matter who he faces Saturday night. It could be Jorge Lara or Rafael Rivera. Or Josh Warrington, but Diaz is over calling out someone who allegedly does not want to step inside the ring with him. Diaz wants to score an impressive performance that will earn him an opportunity to fight for a world title belt.

I'm rooting for Joseph Diaz Jr, but I hope that he and his camp are honest with themselves here.

If he wants Josh Warrington, he's going to have to head to the UK. If he truly wants Gary Russell Jr, he's going to have to fight on Showtime with one of Haymon's promoters.

Diaz and his camp need to be ready to tell Oscar to step off and deliver the opportunity or else.

      Otherwise, he's just whoofing

Am glad he isn't overlooking Rivera. Hopefully if he wins then Oscar would make sure he gets his chance at Russell regardless of Haymon.

idk if this kid beats russell... his punching power is average, russell is way faster, and has a much bigger boxing iq. i see him getting stopped.

Jo Jo needs to fully concentrate on the task at hand and not overlook his last minute opponent.

His opponent looks to be in good shape and also has an undefeated record.

Win and Diaz becomes a mandatory and from there negotiations begin.

Russell will need a tune up, there goes 2018, maybe late 2019?

Showtime has more money behind Gary Russell Jr than HBO has behind JoJo Diaz.

                    No need to play dumb
