HBO or Showtime

hbo. hbo is blowing showtime out of the water this year (especially now that the corrales-castillo fight didn't go off), although showtime had a great year last year.

if you're basing the decisions purely on boxing, hbo gets the slight edge. if you're basing this on boxing + original programs, hbo is by far the better choice (sopranos, entourage, curb your enthusiasm, etc.)

IMO, HBO hasn't shown a Top 5 FOY candidate on their regular TV this year. "Blowing out of the water?"...lol

To the original thread poster, order them both. There's got to be a way you can earn the extra 12 bucks a month so you can have them both. With After Dark now added to the HBO schedule, HBO may have a few more fights, though when that season is over, Showtime has more with its Shobox series...

HBO has the bigger name fighters and better productin values on their boxing, but Showtime by far has the most competitive matchups, not t mention that you get to see a lot more fights than on HBO.

Look at HBO's lineup of fights. Most are PPV, and the fights aren't nearly as good as the ones you get to see on ShoBox for free.

id have to disagree. wish u could watch boxing with no commentary. but to answer the thread question , hbo is way better than showtime..

Plus HBO has the Sopranos (along with other great shows).....
