You sound totally fair in your assessment even if I think canelo wins I acknowledge that ggg is very skilled but I see him as being too inexperienced for a stage this big,he has less than half rds fought as canelo in pro fights & he lost last 3 rds vs jacobs on all cards except 1 who gave him rd 10. Ggg is too green in championship rds vs championship fighters,& I sincerely doubt he blasts out canelo as canelo is far more skilled in every way than Murray (who I am a fan also) & has better jaw by far than jacobs,so if it took til rd 11 vs murray & UD vs jacobs,he took 7 rds to blast out rosado in gggs supposed prime whom angulo kod in 2. I would bet my house on canelo not being kod as hes gggs best opponent by far & only p4p opponent,& if he can't ko canelo hell lose to guy with slicker defense imo.

But I tip my hat off to you as if gggfans behaved like u then ggg wouldn't be as disliked imo.

I agree with you that this a bigger stage for him and could cause issues if his team didn't prepare him well for it.

I had Jacobs beating him because he looked lost an unsure. I think it was more than Jacobs' size but I never thought about the magnitude of the event might've gotten the best of him. I think a few people close to ring was chanting his name but I think the crowd was mainly behind Jacobs.

I suspect GGG baited Canelo and will go all out and make sure that either Canelo breaks or the fight so lopsided the judges wouldn't dare try some bs.

Good article, but Golovkin and his team can't be surprised they'll have known that canelo has always been well looked after by judges.

I'm still not overly sure but I'm sticking to my original prediction in that it's a very very competitive fight for 6 rounds and the Golovkin takes over in the second half...I also think GBP's matchmaking of canelo in the last few years may come back to bite as well in this fight as they may find canelo doesn't look as spectacular as he had been recently.

Either way I can't wait, I just hope both aren't overly cautious and that the fight doesn't get dogged by controversy.

You give them 6, I give them 4...from the 5th round on, we'll see the determining factor....if GGG has shown he can take Canelo's shots by then, I'll feel bad for Canelo from then on...

I don't think they'll pull a job right there if Golovkin is clearly winning. Like he said it doesn't look bad on him, but the judges will go down in history as major pieces of shyt if they do the job in front of the whole world.

You act like floyd never got a gift before,& how many fighters have never had judges favor them? Canelo won 3 maybe 4 rds despite the hyperbole based on Showtimes commentary. Ggg was given rds he lost vs jacobs so its disingenuous to act as if canelo will rob ggg automatically. If a fighter wins every rd by 1 punch should he be given every rd or should they give other fighter rds he lost because it was close fight? Conversely if a fighter has a style that a certain judge disliked then why should other judges be allowed to score 2 they're preference. Floyd won as clear as can be but its disingenuous the way peeps act like he won every min of fight. A draw was a terrible card doe 4 sure.

Ill admit I respond at times to their level,because many ggg fans are such tribalistic fanbois who don't like ggg or his abilities they worship him like jesus & completely act like drunken Mongoloids who think the louder they scream ggg will murder everyone the more true it makes it. It makes me sometimes lose my cool & angrily respond because they take trolling to another level,its the way they act like anyone who isn't a ggg fan is an enemy #1,& they gang up on you in groups. Many (not all) make me dislike ggg more because they flat out lie & do mental gymnastics to make it seem as if nobody stands a chance against him so he doesn't need to fight anyone,as he would murder anyone.

Gennady and his team have to have the mentality of winning 8 clear rounds (with no knockdowns) at a minimum. Sad that we have to say that (I don't like the feeling of making an excuse but cmon we're talking about boxing and more importantly the new cash cow in Canelo), but I think GGG can overcome that.

Abel in interviews seems to be fully aware that he can't let it get close.

I really hope that whoever truly deserves the decision (if it goes the full 12) gets the right scores from the judges.

Canelo has got favorable scores in the past but its not his fault (probably Oscar's).

May the best man win and hopefully whoever deserves it gets the win.
