1. Let's take Floyd vs Sugar Ray Leonard for example. Both of these guys are highly skilled and to be honest I believe it is a true 50/50 fight. But you know why Sugar Ray always gets the benefit of the doubt. It's because he has the superior resume.
2. His boxing skills are superb, Great defense, good jab, head movement, fast hands. Even if Crawford was a natural middleweight him and Crawford would be 50/50 that's how good Canelo is.
Fools talk. SRL doesn't get a "benefit of the doubt" for resume, it's about styles and ability. Not saying SRL wouldn't win, but it isn't about resume.
