Why does he keep calling Mugabi Mugambi ? (that's the third time)

Suggesting that Golovkin will go to war off the bat isn't what they expect, and they know it. If he tries to do a Hagler on Canelo (as in Hagler/Hearns) he takes risks he doesn't need to take.

'Not what GGG used to having' - GGG will try control with the jab, if its not what GGG 'is used to having', its going to be a strategy to take that control away, which is as predictable as it could be - slip the jab and land to the body with enough repetition that Golovkin has to go plan B.

He mentions that John 'Mugambi' didn't expect Hagler to have boxing skills, and the savvy to do things to change the momentum in the fight. Well (1) Golovkin knows full well that Canelo has boxing skills (2) Hagler beat Mugabi by having an iron chin and super-human stamina and determination (if you haven't seen it, its a must-watch fight, it was brutal), but there was no savvy there - he just out-toughed him on the night (and arguably was the fight that really ended Hagler).

Then he says its going to play out longer than the 3 rounds that Hagler/'Mugambi' lasted (pausing as his addled brain told him something was wrong, and Sterling also giving a 'huh?' look, as we all realise he's confusing Hagler/Hearns with 'Mugambi', and how much of the Hagler/'Mugambi' comparison was actually Hagler/Hearns).

'GGG never made adjustments, except for two times'. He knocked every one out ! When did he need to make adjustments except for Jacobs ? When was the other time ?

ps. just re-watched Mugambi-Hagler round 6 to remind me of the good 'ol days. Not one iota of 'savvy' identified.

Agreed, one thing is curious about all of this. Golovkin is on the verge of tying his defense record which BHop has criticized and this fight gets made right before it happens.

The Mugabi fight is the one where Leonard figured out how to beat Hagler. Wondering if the Jacobs fight wasn't the Mugabi fight for GGG.
