Canelo would need an accumulation of punches to hurt Golovkin, and more likely his body punches are his forte. GGG is incredibly tough although hasn't take that much punishment. The toughest guys ever were George Chuvalo, Ali and Hagler in terms of guys who could take a lot of punishment and keep standing. Canelo is quite tough but wouldn't want to take too many big punches from Gennady.

Similar to when Canelo got hurt and wobbled against Jose Cotto, though Canelo was hurt a lot worse than Golovkin was.

While it's good for banter and such, those two fights from long ago for Canelo and Triple G likely won't have any bearing on the outcome or situation for their fight September 16th.
Jose Cotto? I thought it was vs. Mathew Hatton....but I agree with you and I've said i before, that was a long time ago....but THIS:

"But you know what? That’s meaningless. If Canelo lands a good shot, like he did against Khan, and Gennady is exposed, who knows? It’s how he gets up that’s gonna be important, how he gets up and continues, because all the greats were down. It’s just how you get up and continue.”......

is as REAL as you can keep it, props to Abel for being honest, even though haters gonna hate.....

Yep, it was Jose Cotto in the 1st round. Here's the vid clip of when that happened.

And yeah, I definitely agree with you on what you said. Absolutely true.

The first time I watched Canelo I almost saw him get KTFO by Jose Miguel Cotto, I remember feeling sorry for Canelo because he was like 19 and I thought it was a mistake. Well he went on to win but was hurt bad in that fight.
