Comments Thread For: Sanchez: GGG Never Hurt, But One Canelo Shot Could Change That

LAS VEGAS As far as Abel Sanchez knows, Gennady Golovkin has never been hurt in an amateur or professional fight. Sanchez started training Golovkin for his 16th professional fight and has been well-informed by those close to Golovkin about his first 15 pro bouts and an acclaimed amateur career that spanned 350 fights. Kazakhstan's Golovkin has a proverbial iron chin, but his veteran trainer understands that any fighter can be hurt if caught by powerful puncher with the right shot.

I doubt GGG goes down from one punch, unless Canelo manages to break him down in a battle of attrition over many rounds.

GGG's supposed "iron chin" is nothing more than an excuse for his subpar defense.

Similar to when Canelo got hurt and wobbled against Jose Cotto, though Canelo was hurt a lot worse than Golovkin was.

While it's good for banter and such, those two fights from long ago for Canelo and Triple G likely won't have any bearing on the outcome or situation for their fight September 16th.

Bottom line ggg has copied JCC style in its entirety but has zero headmovement like JCC did,but just like JCC he is not some unstoppable Superman hes human & will go down if you outbox him while having good power & land on the neck/jaw like Amari did there. Whoever gets outboxed will go down, both fighters have granite chins in dis fight.

True Canelo can definitely hurt him, there is nothing unwarrior-like in getting hurt. Top class boxers get hurt all the time but what makes then top class would be them recovering and whooping as*es and taking names.

Every fighter has been hurt at some point in their career whether that be in the gym or fight, if they hadn't they wouldn't have respect for anyone's power.
