Could be more like JCC Sr v Meldrick Taylor if Golovkin decides to close the distance early.

Bold assertion, but lets look at a comparison of Golovkin/Canelo as that's the only one that matters for now.

          Golovkin: Jabs thrown/percentage landed
          Jacobs: 536/30%
          Lemoo: 359/47%
          Brook: 110/53%

          Canelo: Jabs thrown/percentage landed
          JCC: 264/31%
          Cotto: 186/20%
          Lara: 183/5%

Then how vulnerable are they to jabs ?

Golovkin jabs thrown against him and percentage that got home in these three fights
          Jacobs: 170/18%
          Lemoo: 191/18%
          Brook: 99/25%

Canelo jabs thrown against him and percentage that got home in these three fights
          JCC: 118/13%
          Cotto: 374/14%
          Lara: 246/22%

I looked at a bunch of other fights too, and Golovkin's accuracy and landed % with his jab is consistently high (Jacobs the lowest at 30%, but Jacobs was moving a lot - in comparison Canelo's percentage landed against 'movers' has been 14%/15%/5% for Trout/Mayweather/Lara).

On the surface, Golovkin has a superb jab and Canelo is pretty good at dodging them, but he doesn't look like he has much of a jab of his own.

Golovkin throws a lot more jabs than Canelo and lands at a higher percentage on moving targets.

I've got a feeling Canelo might be surprised by the accuracy of Golovkin's jab and also its power.

This man knows his ****. Golovkin's jab will be the key to this fight. He's gonna have trouble dealing with it, just like Golovkin's past opponents.

As we just witnessed, GGG's Jab was the deciding factor in the fight with Canelo. He couldnt get around it at all and it dictated the fight. Unfortunately corruption in boxing and having women judge fights is what destroyed this fight!
