The worst referee in boxing bar none.
The referee who practically picked Nathan Cleverly up and carried him back to his corner vs Kovalev he was also responsible for that shocking stoppage for Calzaghe vs Manfredo Jr among many many others.

All a U.K fighter has to do is corner his opponent and throw a flurry and he will jump in and wave it off.

I know we have a lot of bad referees over here in the U.K but he tops them all. Its exactly why he keeps getting these jobs refereeing and judging.

'The pig' is one of the worst ref's out there and the way he seems to be held in such a high stature by some is beyond me.
If I were Parker I would be very concerned .From taking the fight from New Zealand to England and then this ........I smell a rat !

I'd cite breach of contract and not take the fight, tbh. Get a lawyer involved as well, this whole fight has been a complete fiasco what with Fury not showing up to NZ as originally scheduled etc etc. There's dodgy **** going on.

Get uncle Bob to remove Fury from the mandatory position (why is he even mandatory in the first place) and wipe your hands clean of these dodgy buggers.

Yes, the very man. Fury went on to become much better than McDermott of course but he definitely didn't win that fight, and yet O'Connor gave Mac just two rounds. Can't see any reason for him doing that except as personal revenge for getting knocked out by Johnny Mac's dad Stan in the amateurs and the pros. O'Connor's appointment for this is bad news but at least he's not sitting as a judge. And apart from any justified anger this stands to be an interesting fight. Parker will feel a need to be emphatic and it could play into Hughie's hands. The younger Fury is no mug.
