He never should have taken the GGG fight and should have moved up sooner. Problem is his power has never looked threatening even at 147, as sharp a puncher as he is, at 154 I don't see him being effective.

Shame he can't make 147 anymore he still is a tough fight for any of the top welterweights I just can't see what a 31yr old fighter off the back of 2 big injuries and who was only a solid puncher at welter can do at the sharp end of 154

There's a reason why he remained protected at 147. They had to almost move heaven and earth for him to just about get ONE decent welterweight on his resume. And the moment he had to get a second, he loses. It was only a matter of time.
They will apply the same methodology at 154. No chance he'll mix it up with the best at any point.

I feel bad for Brook. It's not about his two losses, you can rebound from that, it's about his two bad injuries. It's sad to say but I'd much rather he retire. We're not going to see Brook in any great, action-packed fights without him risking his eye sight. It's a shame but I hope he considers retirement at this point.

Break face in Sept.
Break other side of face in May, 8 mos later
Fight planed in Nov/Dec, 6-7mos later
I'm surprised he didn't quit after the first face breaking incident & really surprised he didn't retire after the second face breaking incident or at least take off a lil more time. I mean he still is 31. Not like taking a year off is gonna f#ck up too much of his remaining time vs his time just becoming up sooner if his face or other body parts keep getting f#cked up. Or maybe dude is just cashing out 1, 2, 3 if this Nov/Dec opponent is a big opponent cuz he knows his days are numbered with these injuries.

Two broken eye sockets repaired with titanium plates. Brook is going to enter the ring like Robocop. He better avoid the heavy hitters until he retires or he's going to need a cane and a dog to get around.

Brooks problem is the weight .He's been making welter since a teen.In the Spence fight it was Brook who pulled off the gas and faded after seven.....he was done.
If it's found i'm wrong and he can't cut it at light middleweight then there's nowhere else to go and he joins Khan on the scrapheap of finished fighters .
I think Kell will more than hold his own at LM and we'll see him in a few good tussles over the next 2/3 years.
