CARSON - Wow. 'SuperFly' was something else. It lived up to and exceeded expectations boxing scribes and fans had, especially if you did not expect the main event to conclude the way it did. Inoue has a bright future in the sport and could be two or three fights away from fighting the elite fighters at 115 pounds.

Why 2 or 3 fights away ? It makes it sound like he's an up-and-coming prospect who needs some decent opposition to see if he's as good as we think he is.

- In 2014 be beat Adrian Hernandez (convincingly) for a 108 title after Hernandez had defended the title 4 times
- later in 2014 he beat Narvaez (convincingly - 120/108 on all 3 cards) for a 115 title. He might have been lucky to have caught Narvaez at the right time, but Narvaez had defended the title 8 times already, and had only ever previously lost to Nonito at 118

He's had 6 title defences since Narvaez against lesser opposition, but he's already been in there with elite and beaten them with ease, and has already had his '2 or 3 fights' afterwards - no way he's not ready right now.

The statement above was accurate in 2013 when he was 19. He's 24 now. Feed him Cuadras or someone like that else he goes up to 118 (he already skipped 112 as no-one would fight him there) and 115 loses him.

Good idea on making Cuadras/Inoue . That's the logical fight after Saturdays card . The only roadblock would be Inoue himself stating after his fight in Japan that he needed a couple more fights before getting in with the elite guys .
Pretty sure he and Mr. Honda changed their minds after this weekends performance .

He KO'd Narvaez but yes

Naoya really needs to step it up, two flyweights came up to his division and are already beating better opposition and challenging for world titles vs. primed opponents : take Gonzalez and Estrada, Fransico already fought Cuadras and is now on course to face Rungvisai yet Inoue is suppose to be the man having won the lineal title.

So now Rungvisai is rated higher after two fights with Gonzalez...something is wrong with how Inoue is being moved, I guess they where sure Choco was going to win and then face him by next year. Lets see what Inoue does now.

Thanks for the catch. Had to scratch my head what fight I was looking at for a while and turned out was the 118 Narvaez - Nonito scoreline where Nonita got a clean sweep of 120-108.
