Bayless always breaks up clinches. In a mid range outside shootout, ggg always wins. Not that canelo is an inside fighter, but having bayless as ref almost guarantees ggg wins this fight. The moment any clinch is initiated bayless will break them apart allowing ggg to fight his game from outside mid range and pump his jab.
Kenny Bayless as ref is a huge victory for ggg favors him

Bayless will break it up if they get too tangled. Otherwise, he tells them to "work out!". So this could be good phone booth brawl.
Speaking of Bayless
...all this time I thought he was doing double duty as a ref and judge. He has a twin brother, LMFAO!

Neither of these guys clinches that often so one fighter being favored in that regard is hard for me to see.Bayless always breaks up clinches. In a mid range outside shootout, ggg always wins. Nor do either of them fight on the inside, both prefer mid-range combat. I predict a pretty clean fight for the most part.Comment

He isn't Lil G. There isn't a damn thing little about him. He is a big strong middleweight with a giant punch in either hand. GGG has never needed help from the ref before. He is 37 and 0 with 33KOs. All he has ever needed is a boxing ring, an opponent and a referee who can count to 10. I am a big fan of both boxers. The best man will win and nobody knows who that is until the fight is over even if you think you do. No excuses will be of use because no excuses will change the ending.Comment

If Bayless quickly breaks up clinches I am all for him. This is boxing, not wrestling or MMA. Boxers are supposed to throw punches without holding the other man in place with one hand or wrestling or mauling him. I don't think Bayless breaking up clinches quickly helps or hurts either Canelo or GGG. Both of them are punchers, not clinchers, wrestlers, maulers or holders and hitters. They are rarely in clinches and if they are it's usually the other boxer who grabbed them first. I doubt there will be many clinches for Bayless to break up. It's not the way either of them fight. Canelo fights at fairly close to mid range and GGG fights at all ranges. Neither man is a grabber or a clincher.Comment
