Give an immediate rematch in a close fight. I know the WBC ordered it but Rungvisai didn't try to price himself out (like Roman did to Estrada by asking for $2mil) or force a purse bid where he'd get more money as the champ or a 50/50 split. He took less money as the champ and erased all doubt. That's a fighter that believed in himself. Roman wouldn't give Cuadras a rematch in a close fight. He took the belt & thought he was gonna run thru Rungvisai then turn around & demand $2 mil to rematch either Cuadras or Estrada. Rungvisai said I whipped your ass the first time and will do it again. And he did it like the true champion he is.

He priced himself out of rematches for his two toughest and closest fights
Mauricio Sulaimán said at the Miami Convention that was the fight [I would be involved in] because that's what he wants. They could remove the title from me if I don't accept, but it does not matter because I can not fight in the manner that's being required... for a purse that's less than what we deserve," said Chocolatito.
"If God wants [the fight to happen] and they pay me well as I've asked for a good purse - then we'll fight. We really can not accept a rematch if they are going to pay me little. It would be better to fight in Japan for a smaller purse than in the United States - where you get hit with a lot of taxes and a very low purse is left at the end of everything."
This is the situation. Chocolatito is in a mandatory period right now, but because of the importance of the fight he had against Cuadras, and the fact that both of them called for rematch... and especially [Gonzalez] in his capacity as champion, it t was understood by everyone that both of them wanted the fight. After the fact that Cuadras gave him the opportunity and the first fight was tough and controversial - we gave our authorization for them to have the rematch while putting aside [Gonzalez's mandatory] challenger Srisaket Sor Rungvisai," said Sulaimán to ESPN Deportes.
"If he does not want the rematch, then the governing board will take care of the situation because the mandatory challenger is Rungvisai, but let him say so. That's the right way. What he shouldn't do is embarrass the [WBC] or even his promoter because they do not want to give him what he thinks he deserves."

If an when and Estrada rematch takes place, Gonzalez wants to be properly compensated for what many view as the biggest fight in the lower weight divisions, which is also a three belt unification. Gonzalez, according to the New York Commission, received $250,000 for Viloria, but that amount may not have included other financial revenue streams.
I came here [to fight Viloria] because I got paid really well. But if I'm not going to get paid what I want, I'm not going to fight with Gallo and it's that simple," Gonzalez said.
"You already know [how much I would want]. A million or two million dollars. It's worth it based on where I am. Thank God I'm at a level where I thought I'd get to. I feel motivated. I'll rest for the rest of this year and I'm happy for everything that has happened."
