How was Estrada the veteran against Cuadras...

How was Estrada the vet when Carlos has just as many fights as him and is 2 years older...??

That sh#t was mind boggling. Is it because he fought more patiently and was more methodical with his approach? I mean, that still wouldn't make sense though because he is the younger fighter lol.

I swear, HBO commentating is special at times.

Some announcers like to throw words like veteran around like they know something. If they have had the same number of pro fights how could one be more of a veteran than the other?. I don't think either of them has had enough fights to be call a veteran. They are both experienced pros but to me a veteran is a guy with at least 35 pro fights. Cotto, Salido, GGG, Canelo, Pacquiao and guys like that are real veterans.

Plus, Estrada defeated Cuadras with a inactivity of only 2 fights in the last 2 years...

      Awesome

They both have over 35 fights tho. What i found ridiculous was the fact that they were acting like Estrada was the much more veteran fighter of the two when both men have similar records and Cuadras is indeed older.

If it comes in terms of opposition, then I could see how Estrada edges Cuadras in that department and would be considered the vet. However, Estrada was stuck fighting no names and low opposition for almost 2 years due to injuries, if anything Cuadras had more experience at an elite level having fought Roman just last year.

I found it odd. Almost like they were stressing a point and trying to convince everyone that Cuadras was the fresher but more inexperienced name of the two.

I checked their records and with Estrada having 37 pro fights and Cuadras having 39 pro fights they were both young veteran boxers coming into their fight. With Cuadras having 2 more pro fights it's ****** to call Estrada the veteran and act like Cuadras isn't a veteran himself.

I just pulled the number 35 out of the air without checking their records. They are both young veteran boxers and the announcers were wrong to try to make Estrada the more experienced pro.
