I don't know if you don't know but let me break it down to you. The best guys at this weight are in the amateurs. What we see at the PROs in the lower weights is not very adequate regarding talent and skill. Now you talk about Estrada being drained 4 pounds and then RG avoiding a rematch at Estrada's natural weight in a fight that could've gone either way? You talk about the loss the Cuadras I imagine?Comment

I am talking about what you are talking about: RESUMES, neither Estrada, Cuadras or Rungvisai could have dominated 105-108, because they are too big so saying that romans resume is not that great because a guy with a poor resume like Rungvisai Knocked him out is simply absurd... different times, different weight classes.I don't know if you don't know but let me break it down to you. SSR's resume is poor. These Thai guys just fight anyone anytime anywhere & often time that results in a lot of sketchy who gives a f#ck wins in who gives a f#ck locations on who gives a f#ck cards like SSR has.
He did turn pro (or allegedly turned pro cuz his pro record is questionable early on) vs future badass Akira Yaegashi in 2009
Kicks around fighting bs guys until 2013 when he wins a belt vs Yota Sato who hadn't lost in 8 years.
Proceeds to have 4 bs non-title fights + drops his belt to Cuadras within 6 months of winning it.
Stays busy for the next 2.5yrs going 15-0 (14) vs nobodies (Jose Salgado, 34-2-2, is the only decent guy he fought in that period) before finding Roman for the first time & KOing him the 2nd time.
Definitely a light resume, but thats why he's a young 30 too I imagine.Comment

You're talking about Estrada, Cuadras and Run and he didn't win those fights, or he won by the skin of the teeth against Estrada when he weight drained him. He also fought an ancient Brian Viloria so his resume ain't nothing and a guy like Run who has the worst resume proved it twice. The guy relied on making weight, having great stamina and punch resistance but with limited skills.I am talking about what you are talking about: RESUMES, neither Estrada, Cuadras or Rungvisai could have dominated 105-108, because they are too big so saying that romans resume is not that great because a guy with a poor resume like Rungvisai Knocked him out is simply absurd... different times, different weight classes.Comment

I wouldnt really call it weight draining in Gonzalez and Estradas case. You're talking about Estrada, Cuadras and Run and he didn't win those fights, or he won by the skin of the teeth against Estrada when he weight drained him. He also fought an ancient Brian Viloria so his resume ain't nothing and a guy like Run who has the worst resume proved it twice. Gonzalez had the title, Estrada had no title. Why should Gonzalez move up to fight Estrada for no title? Makes no sense.
If Gonzalez could comfortably make 108, he is in the right to stay at 108 and defend his title.
It was Estradas fault to accept the fight, he could have easily pursue a title fight at 112 instead.Comment
