1980s: Only Tyson in 1989, The Ring magazine inaugurated its Pound For Pound Annual Ratings with the 1989 list.
Couple things to note:
- In 2002, when Mosley got beat up by Forrest, he dropped 9 spots from 1 to 10.
- In 2005 Hopkins went from no.1 to outside of the top 10 after his two losses to Jermain Taylor.
