I had Jacobs winning 4 rounds, 5 if i want to be generous.
There's no way he won more than 6 when you consider the knockdown too. I have no idea how anyone can score it for him.
At best he had a moral victory for going the distance and did do well in some rounds.Comment

Here we have a pro GGG crowd silent with the exception of 4 rounds or so. Why? Because Jacobs controlled the action for the majority.
Here we have an HBO fighter, fighting on an HBO network against a Showtime Al Haymon guy with the potential of a mega fight against Canelo in Sept and you're telling me you didn't find it odd they had it even heading into the 12th?
And that said, you're saying Jacobs won 5 rounds max? So now we have HBO giving an Al Haymon Showtime fighter a break?
Unmmm I hate to break it to you but Jacobs won 116-111Comment

When I first watched GGGvsJacobs i thought whoa Jacobs is doing much better than most envisioned and when it went to the score cards I was like WTF? GGG might lose this.
I enjoyed the fight live didn't actually score it, but it was close and a draw would have been fair. i saw lot of cats felt DJ should have won. So I re-watched it and scored it round by round.
I got 114 to 113 for Jacobs. Now there were about 3, definitely 2 rounds where nothing really happened neither of them landed anything really big or clean. I found myself giving those rounds to DJ just for the sake of the controversy and thats pretty much how I came up with the 114 to 113 card.
Usually traditionally close rounds should go to the champion, i also agree with that, so normally i'd give those 2 or 3 close rounds to GGG, but almost as an experiment I gave them to DJ and came out with 114 to 113 for DJ.
Was it a big robbery gift no not at all. 114 to 113 for either fighter would have been fine. or a draw.
I'd personally like GGG to grab the final belt from the BJS vs Monroe winner and then rematch DJ.
Should he beat Canelo, BJS/Monroe winner, and DJ rematch then I think that puts him at 20 defenses right? Tieing Hopkins right?
So I'd like him to break that record and then retire or go up and end it with a big Ward fight or something.
I think Ward beats him unfortunately for being too big and too skilled and fast.
If what GGG says is true and he held back against DJ to land the Canelo fight, then that makes the rematch even more legit.
What do you guys think? What was your score card?
I just felt that Jacobs had the better gameplan, made Golovkin's approach to pursue leave him open to combinations, and looked better for the majority of the fight.Comment

Then you gave him 12 which was not a close round by any stretch of the imagination. Round 9 was also GGG.
Round 11 also makes sense to give to GGG, unless you count that tiny flurry Jacobs did at the end outweighs all the shots GGG landed throughout the round.Comment

The same punch stats that said Ward didn't land a punch in the 2nd round against Kovalev?
The same punch stats that said Ward only landed 4 punches in the 7th round?
The same punch stats that said Ward only landed 10 body punches the last round against Kovalev?
Punch stats that had Pac outlanding Horn by 100 punches?
These punch stats?
If Compubox is so accurate and means so much why did HBO have it even heading into the 12th ******?
Why did HBO have it even heading into the 12th against an Al Haymon Showtime fighter? Use your damn brain, idiot
Jacobs swept the 2nd half of the fight and won the first 3
Azteca had it for Jacobs
Boxnation had it for Jacobs
HBO had their own fighter winning by 1 round against a SHOWTIME guy... But what about Compubox?
The fcuk outta here and learn boxingLast edited by Chollo Vista; 09-13-2017, 12:39 AM.Comment

How did he sweep the 2nd half? You know boxing is not golf, right? It's not about hitting the least amount of times. GGG landed the jab at will in all rounds but 6 and 10.
I actually went with Compubox and Artorias boxing in my recap, and like when I first saw the fight, I saw GGG winning. By landing the cleaner and more effective shots. Jacobs was the bigger guy, but was on the backfoot. And you think that earns him the victory?
You know full well that he didn't out land GGG and that his shots were not as clean. That's not even up for a debate. Then there is ring generalship, and well, he just didn't have it.
So how the hell did you score this fight on? On who is the blackest?Comment
