I was in the gym three times this week. That still has nothing to do with him being massively overrated. Name his 5 best wins.

Casual? While you guys were nutting over mayweather and connor last week, I was at Cotto Kamegai. I didn't say Roman ******, just that he was horribly overrated. People had him at number 1 at one point, for what?

I haven't bothered to watch the May/Mac fight. I too watched Cotto/Kamegai. To say that Gonzalez is overrated is ignorant. Watch his fights. Watch his form. I am tired of this one or two loss makes you a hype job mentality. Guaranteed whoever loses next week will be crowned a hype job and overrated as well.

People had him as pound for pound number one fighter in the world at one point. That is being overrated. I never once said he ******, or had a bad career. I simply said he was overrated considering where some people had him ranked among all fighters.

I'm surprised you made this thread. You always liked come forward fighters who throw a lot of punches and have little defense. RG fits all criterias.

But yes, I always hated how overrated he's been. When he first got ranked at #1 P4P was after beating Valentin Leon, who was 38-29. The explanation was for his body of work leading up to that TKO.

He went from entering the top 10 P4P by beating Yaegashi, who retired afterward, to moving up a little more for beating Rocky Fuentes, and then finally, moving into #1 after beating Valentin Leon. The absolute strangest rise to #1 P4P i've seen while watching boxing since the 1990s.

I watched the fight live. My twin watches on tape delay. He's texts me "Chocolatito stretching in the dressing room, looking old".
