I'm surprised you made this thread. You always liked come forward fighters who throw a lot of punches and have little defense. RG fits all criterias.
But yes, I always hated how overrated he's been. When he first got ranked at #1 P4P was after beating Valentin Leon, who was 38-29. The explanation was for his body of work leading up to that TKO.
He went from entering the top 10 P4P by beating Yaegashi, who retired afterward, to moving up a little more for beating Rocky Fuentes, and then finally, moving into #1 after beating Valentin Leon. The absolute strangest rise to #1 P4P i've seen while watching boxing since the 1990s.
