    It's funny about Cotto

He gets asked in english, understands it, and replies in spanish. Whats going on? He must obviously speak english - why doesn't he? PR pride?

He understands it but perhaps he can't fully express his thoughts and answers in English the way he would like. It is possible that his statements could even be distorted by him unintentionally saying something wrong.

Anyone who speaks a language other than there original langauge knows that its easier to understand a new language than to express yourself in it.

Agree, it's usually easier to understand a language then to speak it.

After one of the questions he went 'Yea.' then went on to speak ni spanish and i was thinking that he might be able to speak perfect english.

Thanks for clearing that up, i just cracked up when i saw it.
