No one has fought more high level fights in their careers than Floyd

Almost half of Floyd's fights (24) have been against either the #1 contender, a champion or elite fighter. I can't think of a fighter who has fought more high level talent than Floyd.

    Here's the list:

    Manny Pacquiao
    Marcos Maidana (2x)
    Canelo Alvarez
    Robert Guerrero
    Miguel Cotto
    Victor Ortiz
    Shane Mosley
    Juan Manuel Marquez
    Ricky Hatton
    Oscar De La Hoya
    Carlos Baldomir
    Zab Judah
    Sharmba Mitchell
    Arturo Gatti
    Jose Castillo (2x)
    Jesus Chavez
    Diego Corrales
    Gregorio Vargas
    Angel Manfredy
    Genaro Hernandez

Every single one of those guys were legit when Mayweather fought them.

Who in the history of boxing has faced more high level fighters than Floyd?

The haters will fade and the whole career will stand out. The more you compare him, the more you realise that he was legit all the way. Even if he avoided one or two fighters along the way - That's pretty standard.

Cotto fought a better version of Pacquiao, Mosley, Canelo also fought Margarito in his prime, fought Austin Trout and dared to be great and went up and challenged Martinez for the MW title. Also fought Judah and Clottey.

sharmba mitchell was what??? angel manfredy was what??? gregorio vargas was what??? judah was what??? etc...bold faced lie to say they were #1 contenders or champs. also there are 4 champs in this era compared to 1 or 2 in the past so not really a fair comparison. would victor ortiz be a champ in any other era...would gatti? would maidana? nope , nope and nope. the other guys he fought like mosley, hoya, pac and cotto were past it. still good but past it. baldomir? come on now. he still has no prime great wins. floyd is the kind of guy that would wait till prime leonard became old and then fought him after leonard fought donny lelonde. hey he was still champ so it must be a good win right? he was a champ!!!

Cotto started at 140lbs and Mayweather at 130lbs. Now with that info go re-read my post and then read your post again.

Your wording was fought, not beat. Mike Tyson fought over 10 current or former World Heavyweight champions. That includes 5 Lineal Heavyweight champions, and a two-weight Lineal champion. And can't forget Danny Williams, who was an exceptional Heavyweight in his prime.
