Comments Thread For: Canelo vs. Golovkin Has Boxing's Future Riding On It

By Andreas Hale - The "real" fight is upon us. And, in some ways, boxing's future is at stake. Really hope this fight is action packed for as long as it lasts. On paper (and I know fights aren't fought on paper) this could be a firefight. I believe it will pick up in the red round.

i dont see how this can be a bad fight

sure golovkin has lost some of his edge but that actually makes it more interesting... a few yrs ago it seemed one sided

Boxing will continue regardless of this event's success. However, if it does low numbers, it may end the PPV era of boxing.

                Lol, I like the analogy.

Mayweather-McGregor is the NBA All-Star Game

                Canelo-Golovkin is the NBA Finals

Lol, Mayweather-McGregor is the Pro Bowl

                Canelo-Golovkin is the Super Bowl

really.. we're still writing "boxing is dead/dying" articles. smh. yeah boxing is so dead big name UFC fighters want to box now because boxers get paid more. boxing is so dead the biggest fight in UFC history involved mayweather. boxing has never been dying and will never die. regardless of this fight. the writer loves referring to others as "casual" but says this is only a great fight if its a brainless cavemen brawl.. thats some casual **** to say.

no, boxings future is NOT riding on this fight.

anyway..canelo massacres little g and flatlines him in late rounds. little g is a statue on defense hes gonna get a heavy tattooing.

This is a very important fight for sure, it's the first time in a while we have two elite prime fighters competing and it has the attention from a broader fan base. Ward and Kovalev was two elite prime fighters but unfortunately the casual fan base weren't interested, but with Canelo and Golovkin there are casual fans interested. I'm really looking forward to it.
