    4oz mma glove boxing?

if boxing gloves are replaced, and mma gloves are used in boxing,

    how boxing would be changed?

        Yea what everyone else said.

        More KO's/Excitement for fans
More superficial injuries to the face
Less Brain Damage, Less Severe Injuries
        More Broken Hands

I've been hyping this idea for awhile. Since that BKB deal popped up + seeing that doc Knuckle about bareknuckle fighting.

Ultimately I think the standard boxing gloves produces less exciting fights & more importantly more severe injuries & death in boxing than a lighter MMA-type glove would bring.

I think there would be more deaths. There are hardly any deaths anymore anyway.

actually the heavier the glove the more concussive, and the glove protects your hands a lot more so you can hit your opponent a lot more. deaths usually come from multiple blows rather than being KO'd

That's not true dude. That would mean 18oz gloves would be more damaging and they're simply not.

Deaths are usually pre-fight related. Hard time making weight, not enough fluid protecting your brain. The blows that do the damage are damaging related, not just run-of-the-mill shots.

Have you ever put on MMA gloves? They're like wearing bricks.

i've never worn MMA glove. to me it's dangerous for your hand and makes punch way more effective.

Yep. It goes against what you think you see cuz obviously a guy getting straight KTFO looks worse than a TKO late in a fight via volume eventually overwhelming a guy, but your brain is a big ***** is what people don't really grasp. EVERY SINGLE TIME you get hit your brain is getting sloshed around your skull which is bad right f#cking there. So the more times you get hit you are risking damage if not taking some amount of damage that might not even be measurably yet or ever.

And I mean really think about it. How many times have we witnessed those super hard punchers f#cking someone up with a one shot KO to the point of severe injury or death? Not many times that I can recall. Its almost always guys who've taken damage for several rounds that have the severe injuries.

Magomed WAS the hard puncher in his fight & that fight went the distance. McClellan was in with a hard puncher in Benn, but it took til the late rounds for the injury to happen. Daniel Franco who just got injured didn't get f#cked up til the 8th round.

If damage was caused by straight KO's you'd think there'd be more 1 round deaths & statistically it'd happen in the first round or second round as the second half of the fight, but I'm not sure I can even think of one severe injury or death that happened in the 1st or 2nd round & for sure thats an uncommon thing. That suggests to me volume is the culprit to more brain injuries than just getting KTFO badly or early.
