He held up very well for his first time going past 10 ever! Just got sloppy trying to finish strong!
He was also throwing arm punches at times. He got gassed at times.

Benavidez tired but it was largely due to Gavril's body work especially that jab to the stomach. He looked like he took 1-2 rounds off from 6-8th, after that it was mostly all Benavidez aside of the flash knock down.

Gavril took massive amounts of punishment, really tough opponent and I thought his corner gave him great advice.

You can tell DB is still trying to figure out what sort of fighter he is and will become. Great test for him, but he should be wary, opponents will target his body more often.

More credit goes to Gavril honestly Gavril was game as I personally expected him to be. The Body work early caught up with Benevidez but to his credit despite all the body work he still ****** it up and was throwing bombs and combos in the 11th and the 12th. So I don't think he gassed, I thought he actually held up excellently for a guy who never been that deep in a fight.

But again more credit goes to Gavril, not many at 168 are as durable as Gavril. Would love to see this fight again, Benevidez said he is down for it so make it happen! But for a 20 year old fighter in his first big fight for a World Title, thought he did very well!
