        Judah

        The guy is a legend.
Bcz it's every children's dream to fight Foreman, Clottey and a crippled Martinez. Oh, these are his best wins.

Cotto's biggest fights are Judah, Mosley, Margarito 1, Pacquiao, Margarito 2, Mayweather, Martinez and Canelo.

He's 4-4 in his biggest fights which means he's won some and he's lost some.

The first Margarito fight obviously is questionable because we don't know if they fought on an even playing field. We know for a fact that the rematch was fought on an even playing field.

He was pretty much training himself when he agreed to fight Pacquiao at a catchweight of 145. His fault for agreeing to the catchweight and training himself. But it is what it is, if circumstances were different and he had a trainer and fought at 147, the fight would have been more competitive. But he agreed to the catchweight and didn't have a trainer, that's not Pacquiao's fault, it's on Cotto. But it is what it is.

He gave Mayweather hell in their fight and fought Mayweather better and tougher than Pacquiao and Canelo did.

He beat Mosley, Margarito and Martinez. It wasn't Cotto's fault if Martinez wasn't 100%, just like it wasn't Pacquiao's fault if Cotto agreed to fight Pacquiao at 145 and with no trainer. Both Pacquiao and Cotto did what they had to do in those fights, Martinez and Cotto didn't have to take those fights under those conditions but they did.

When he fought Canelo in 2015, that was a passing of the torch fight, young lion, old lion. And Cotto fought well considering he was the smaller and older fighter. 119-109 and 118-110 was bogus. That was more like a 116-112 imo. Cotto gave a good account of himself, nearly every round was competitive. Considering he was 10 years older and smaller, Cotto fought well.

First Puerto Rican to win world titles in 4 weight classes.

Been one of the best and top fighters for years.

He's a first ballot hall of famer.

Danny Garcia lost to Mauricio Herrera, FFS do you think Cotto would have ever lost to a guy like Mauricio Herrera?

A lot of people believe Garcia lost to Peterson as well.

Who did Matthysse beat to make him such a great win? Mosley is a way better win than having a win over Matthysse. WTF are ya'll talking about? Is Matthysse going to the hall of fame? I know Mosley is going to the hall of fame.

And prime for prime I agree Cotto would beat Thurman.

A bunch of you fools have no clue what you are talking about.
Great post, man. Fully agree. And we never truly got to see the best of Cotto, because of the scum bag, Margacheeto, and him taking damn near 6 years off of Cottos' career with the cement he used in their fight. And I have no doubt he would've beat Margs in their first fight, if he didn't use plaster. Cotto would've had way more prime years in his career, and he could've won some of the fights he lost.

And yeah, I think if he fought Pac at the full 147 limit, no catch weight, and without being damaged goods after the Marg fight, the fight would've been a lot closer, and Cotto would've had a good chance to possibly pull off the upset. I know Pac's a bad style match up for Cotto, but the Cotto that beat Shane and Zab would've caused Pac more problems then he did.

Also, he did give Floyd a really good scarp, and he wasn't even figting at his best fighting weight, and he was well past his prime, while again, the Margacheeto thing, and too many wars.

I can never forgive Margacheeto for that BS, and he should honestly be ashamed of himself forever, for probably ruining a bunch of fighters careers.

And yeah, Danny is highly overrated, and got gifted a bunch of fights. And lol, no way Cotto would lose to Herrera. Yeah, he's a slick busy fighter, but Danny made people think he was some world beater that's impossible to beat lmao. Cotto made a living beating the crap out of slick fighters, and Herrera ain't even a world class slick fighter. He's just really good.

Didn't read hardly any posts in this thread, but anyone actually agreeing with TS, seriously doesn't know a damn thing about boxing.

There's just no way he did, otherwise he wouldn't have embarrassed himself with this thread.

Cotto has lost whenever he lost A level opponents.

But, he's the 2nd smartest businessman out there. He won "title" against Yuri Foreman and Martinez on one leg, then actually won a "title" last week after being out for two years against a lower ranked C level fighter.

Gotta give him credit for his business sides.

Post getting beaten by Margarito, he went downhill and has just adjusted to build off the fact that he's Puerto Rican. Had he been from the US he wouldn't have made 1/3 of the money he has.
