hopefully canelo v ggg does boxing proud

just been watching the under the lights vid on youtube.

it was difficult for anything combat sport related to escape the behemoth that was the mayweather mcgregor hype but now this fights just round the corner im so stoked for this.

Win lose or draw both men deserve credit for entering the ring, neither fighter is a bum if they lose and both have thrown it all on the line to test themselves.

Lets just hope for no controversy. It seems like robberies and controversial stoppages are the main talking points of many fights these days.

These are the type of fights which get people hooked on the sport, weve all had that one fight which got us watching it, lets hope this is the one for the next generation of fans.

I think the styles are gonna mesh brilliantly and we are going to get a great fight.

Its been a fantastic year for the sport after the dud that was 2016 so hopefully this adds to the momentum that the sport is gathering.

I agree. I want GGG to win but mostly what i hope for is a good fight and if it goes to a decision, then i hope we get a fair decision either way. If it's a stoppage then i hope it's not controversial i.e early, low blows etc..

Fights like this don't come along often and in recent times haven't lived up to the hype or they were controversial. Floyd v Manny was fairly one sided and very boring. Ward v Kovalev first fight ended with a controversial decision and even their rematch did with the low blows although I felt Ward was on his way to winning anyway.

It would just be nice to see a definitive win, no questions asked, but in an exciting fight too.

I have a feeling there will be a controversial decision. Hopefully it is a good, entertaining fight and the best man comes out victorious.

I don't care who wins although I'm rooting for GGG but for the love of god please don't let this fight end on a controversial stoppage or terrible scorecards. Boxing seems to always make a mockery of itself on the big stage, turning off more and more people. It's time a big fight finally lived up to all the hype

I just want to see Golovkin pushed to his limits and tested.

Maybe Canelo puts him on his knee from a body shot, and let's see how he comes back from that. If he fights an uphill battle and comes out with the victory I'll give him big credit.

              No early stoppages please!

All I want is a honourable fight, no robberies and no disputes.
And please let us not call any of these gentlemen by deragoratry names and respect the sport. Losing is not a shame nor degradation. Thnx OP for the thread.

Thats all I hope for for any fight, big fight or otherwise. This year has been a good year. The Floyd vs Conor fight was even entertaining as a cat who was defending it, but was kinda thinking it might not pan out so with all the good sh^t thats gone down this year if this fight doesn't turn out as good or better than expected it'd be a solid letdown on the year even with all the previous good stuff due to how important this fight feels for boxing.
