And you are a complete ****ing ****** if you think Canelo wouldn't get a piece of the PPV if the promoter who won the purse bid put the fight on PPV.
That's what happened in the Canelo-Golovkin situation you spastic. That's why big fights hardly ever go to purse bids.

He wouldn't receive anything from PPV if it went to purse bids. How many ****ing times do you need to be told.

If the promoter that wins the bid had to give the TV money to the fighters why would he bid? He wouldn't earn his money back. Use your ****ing brain.

When GGG didn't bend over he went in another direction and he continued to do so until they finally made a deal. But the fact of the matter is that as the A-side Canelo picks whom he fights and he chose less threatening opponents.

      first, you said this.....

      ..... so, you blamed Canelo

you also said..... " He held the line "...... despite the fact that "There was always a risk of either guy losing"

..... which is an absolute admission that Golovkin killed the fight negotiation by refusing to make concessions, hoping that he would get another bite at the cherry, should they both keep winning.....

kid, would you like some more time to get your story straight ?

It wasn't until three year later vs. DLH that Hops made the weight concession. He said so because he said DLH was not a MW. He said this pre-fight. It was obvious DLH wasn't a MW in body or performance. I don't blame Hops for taking the fight.

Again you don't like the Hops comparison because at this point the two are very similar in their career. Even after his career defining W he stayed another 3 years in the division beating no one of real note.

        exactly

Golovkin talked about it, but Hopkins did it

Let's be 💯, Oscar and Canelo don't sign off on this fight if he destroys Jacob's. And let's just say they did really have every intention 9n making this their next fight, I bet it was right after the Brook fight, and only because of the Brook fight, where they saw soemthing that made them believe GGG's getting older, and that they could have a chance agaisnt him, because Brook was able to have some success against him, and maybe exploited a few things that they also exploit, and motive upon.

Be real Canelo fans, he didn't intend 9n fighting GGG until he got older, and been in some more wars, and after Brook and Jacob showed that you can have a little success agaisnt GGG, if you fight a certain way.
I think this is completely reasonable to believe. But I really don't believe it was Canelo who ever was worried about fighting Golovkin. I mean yes he knows Golovkin is going to be a heck of a fight but I don't believe Canelo was looking to avoid this fight. I believe when he said he was ready to fight Golovkin he was ready at 160lbs or 154lbs. If you believe Golovkin he said Canelo told him it wasn't him but all GBP.

The guy who didn't want this fight to happen clearly before this year was DLH. He had no intention of it happening earlier. He said it, no fight until 2017. Why? I do think he was worried about his catch cow getting beat and possibly badly. DLH is a business guy and he looked at this from that perspective. And you know what from a business standpoint I think it made sense. His guy is getting better, his opposition is only getting older and the fight only built up more press. As horrible as Pac-Floyd was and IMO bad for boxing that fight was massive financially. Fight should have happened much earlier but from a money perspective you can't argue it was anything less than a smashing success.

Yes three years after the Tito fight. The Tito fight was Golovkin's Canelo fight idiot. Hopkins and Tito didn't fight at a CW.

I've said it numerous times, their careers up to the Tito and Canelo fights are very similar and had the same criticisms. And I don't deny that there is valid criticisms that their competition wasn't the strongest.

I don't see anybody else walking into fights like that

                  oh, except for Ward

                  no big deal

but what about lil old faded 153lb Cotto ?

why offer Gabe Rosado a catchweight..... and offer Kell Brook a catchweight.....but then totally refuse to negotiate on weight with the SUPERSTARS Cotto and Canelo....?

Golovkin apologists are lying to themselves by ignoring that fact
Cotto and Canelo had both won belts @ 160 and proceeded to "defend" them at catchweights other than the limit, I believe THAT'S why...EDIT: my bad, Canelo won then vacated, oops!

If I recall correctly, the point was something along the lines of ,"if they claim to be champs at 160, fight and defend at 160.

Canelo and corto both won the belts with a catch weight, not at 160... canelo and cotto are also superstars, not gennady! Canelo and cotto have both made concessions to their a side to make big fights in the past, not gennady, canelo and cotto have been champs at multiple weight classes and have victories over future hall of famers, not gennady. Canelo did everyone a favor by going to the full 160 to make the fight when he didn't have too... not Gennady

Yeah, but Canelo needed to see a fighter or 2 do it for an entire fight, or really give it to GGG for a few rounds. His balls came out of hiding afterwards.
