I have always thought that Golovkin resembles fighters from the 1920's/1930's from a physical perspective. He is a dense/rugged looking fighter! He is not as stereotypically aesthetically pleasing in comparison to Canelo Alvarez, but this is probably due to his no nonsense styled training.....

I see the same thing. Even his style has a lot of old school folds that people don't really use much today. He is a throwback.
