Floyd was hated for being arrogant an a cherry picker or whatever by the public and has the TBE persona that the public can't stand. Ali was hated because he was a successful black man and was an active civil activist for black rights (In the mid 60's it was intense not much for the 70's) and was confident to the point of arrogant, and he walked the talk, the public can't stand that, and people even hated him more when he betrayed Joe Frazier (Frazier helped Ali and they were friends in the 60's) And the public majority ousted him.

Ali is far from different and is far more hated than Floyd. One is hated because of attitude the other is hated for not being the same skin color (attitude also is a factor), entirely different.

I love this fight. I love how disgusted Cosell was with the whole affair and Ali laughing at one point and shouting, "George.. you crazy!". Also, Foreman going to the ropes and shouting to Ali between fights, and doing an impression of the rope a dope to mock Ali. It was bizarre and funny at the same time.
