Just two weeks after his final bout in the ring, all-time boxing great Floyd "Money" Mayweather will focus his attention on some of the top fighters in the Mayweather Promotions stable. Mayweather will be interviewed by SHOWTIME Boxing analyst Al Bernstein during Friday's SHOWTIME BOXING: SPECIAL EDITION telecast, headlined by unbeaten rising star David Benavidez (18-0, 17 KOs) and contender Ronald Gavril (18-1, 14 KOs), who will battle for the vacant WBC Super Middleweight World Championship live on SHOWTIME (10:05 p.m. ET/PT) from The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas.

that 50-0 record means absolutely nothing

        numbers don't mean shht

who did you beat, with consideration given to when/how

        nothing else

and Marciano is NOT the best heavyweight, far from it

I'm a Mayweather fan and I give him credit with this win, maybe with an asterisk, but I would give him credit because if he had lost, then nobody would have a problem with saying that he is 49-1. So I think *50-0 is fair. That's just in my opinion. But I think that this is the start of something new where there are kids right now who are going to train for both sports and one day there will be a pound 4 pound great in both sports. Current boxers and MMA fighters won't be able to because they trained too long at one sport, both there will be kids who will grow up doing both sports and will excel at it. No different than other 2 sport stars.

As there are comments on Mayweather's record, there is no way he can be a true 50-0 when he lost to Castillo, had a debatable decision over De La Hoya, a fight that was so close vs Maidana and Pacquaio. Yes it's true, he was an excellent defensive boxer, but also true is that the numbers don't determine who the best fighter was. But Marciano, he was one of the greatest I'd say. Just an opinion.

You can cry all you want about McGregor but the fact is Mayweather's resume ****'s all over Marciano's. His 50-0 is more deserving of recognition than Marciano's 49-0. Does beating a weak opponent mean more coming up than it does at the end of your career?

                  28 year old Marciano fought:

                  Keene Simmons - 8 8 1
                  Harold Mitchell - 4 14 3
                  Art Henri - 13 15 1
                  Willis Applegate - 11 14 2

                  For his 32nd, 33rd, 34th, 35th fights.

Is that better than a 40 year old past it Mayweather fighting McGregor?

                    Marciano's record

[B]Not meaning to discredit Marciano but he did fight a lot of old men including Jersey Joe Walcott who was at least 52 when they fought.
