Boxing experts said Mosely was top 3 P4P, and so did all the magazines, that was the best possible fight he could have made at that time. And 154 was clearly Cotto's best chance to hang with Mayweather, at 140 or 147 Mayweather beats him worse. It also took Cotto and Mayweather about 3 weeks to sign a fight after Cotto left Arum. If Arum would have let Cotto fight Mayweather a couple years earlier at 147 you'd all be saying how Mayweather didn't want a piece of Cotto once he got to 154 which was clearly his best weight.

You try to have it both ways. Even when Marquez called out Mayweather the haters said, "no way would Floyd fight a technician like Marquez." Then Floyd comes in 2 lbs over the catch weight limit, pays a fine, and proceeds to destroy Marquez with speed and agility, not size. Size had nothing to do with Mayweather beating Marquez 12-0.

Floyd was past it when he descion-ed him

I can't see him being top 20 now tbh. He missed out on too many great fights and prime opponents and in his own words was afraid to fight his biggest threat.

It's sad because he has the skilled to easily be top 20 and top 5 all tiem defensive skillset but none of the desire. Heck, he's made a lot of money and at one stage said thats all that matter...now he and his fans wana moan about his legacy? lol
