Difference between chin and heart in boxing

Chin = the amount of effort required to hurt / damage / stun a boxer.

Heart = The speed at which a boxer recovers after getting hurt / damaged / stunned.

Do you all agree with those definitions?

Heart is how much you are willing to give to win a fight. Someone that is taking a beating but still pushing forward and trying to win has heart.

That comes down to fitness not heart. Robbie Barrett is spot on with his definition of heart

Heart is how well you respond to adversity. Good examples of heart from fighters would be Gatti/Ward and Lyle/Foreman.

chin = how much body resistance you have before being dizzy or wobbling or lose consciusness or get injured. also how fast you can recover after being hurt. chin is mainly a body characteristics and depends on your body structure and physiology which in turns depends mostly on your genetics and in how good you trained your body condition.

heart = how much body punishment and fatigue you are willing to handle before folding and give up. also, how much body punishment you are willing to take in order to trade punches with your opponent and not get in survival mode.
heart is more a mental attitude in pushing the limit of pain and fatigue you are willing to take in order to win the fight when in adverse situation.

I think heart doesnt have to to with the recovery, the recovery aspect is in a way a part of the chin.
Khan has for example the worst chin. He gets wobbled by every hard punch and needs a lot of time to recover his senses.

But the guy has big heart, he always gets back up and fights back hard.
Heart has more to do with your mental toughness. You dont get disheartened when the fight gets tough. You fight on and try to break the other guy mentally and physically.

              Examples of bad hearts:
Victor Ortiz: Cant handle the heat, whenever it gets tough he doesnt want to be in the fight anymore.

Adrien Broner: When it gets tough, he doesnt throw punches anymore, doesnt want to risk leaving openings until the last round then he starts fighting back for some reason, but it's always to late.

Tony Harrison also cant push trough the tough rounds, you can always see, when he starts to crumble from the opponents pressure.

Dont know if it's just because of Lomachenkos talent, but Walters looked like a heartless fighter, who doesnt want to be in the ring anymore.

                Heart is more psychological.

Amir Khan has a crap chin, terrible recovery, but nobody would ever question his heart.

Its about how much pain you are willing to endure to win. How much you will risk in terms of your short and long term health to survive or be victorious.

Khan is not a good example of someone with heart. He's too delusional to realize when he's been bested by a better fighter. I'm sure if he could he would have got up against Canelo and would have taken some serious damage.
