Did you consider Jacobs-GGG as a fight between two champs? Because Jacobs held that same belt at middle.
And saw it for Jacobs to finally win the world title.
If there's the WBA Regular title in the division I consider them the #1 contender to the Super Champion.

If he does a tremendous showing against triple G he is young enough to have his era.
He keeps improving as he goes but he has to stop fighting the JCC jr and Khans of the world.
I favor triple G in this fight but in boxing you never know and Canelo does posses some serious skills

A lot of people are picking Canelo based off his youth, but the younger fighter can also be the more reckless one. If Canelo fights with his corazon and decides to be the bull and not the matador, he WILL get struck down by Kazakh thunder, like many others who came before him.

Another big loss for Canelo would be worse for his reputation and legacy at this point, GGG could take a L at this point of his career and still have left a great legacy behind. If Canelo losses again I think his PPV popularity could start to fade outside of Mexico...

I agree regarding Canelo, he needs to win this fight.
He is young with a good upside, so a loss at this point will not kill his career..... but he would need to rebuild.
If he wins that fight, he is the king of boxing.
But yea I do not agree with you regarding 36yo Golovkin.
This fight is life or death for him and his legacy.
If he loses to Canelo his legacy will be hollow, and there will be a question mark over his matchmaking/opponent selection..... and he will be just about out of time to rebuild.
If Golovkin wins, he should either fight Saunders or move to 168 immediately..... tick tock tick tock
