just finished watching bojado v. leija and bojada was given horrable advice by buddy mcgirt, how can he tell bodjad to stay low when bojado is fighting a smaller older veteron who would prefer to throw shots low rather then throw punchs high.

also the strategy against leija was all wrong. he was fighting leija when at times leija was getting the best of him and when he was boxing leija he was doing good especially in the later rounds.....what i mean is he should be fighting leija when leijia wanted to box and fight leija when lejia wanted to box.

but surprisingly leija came forward almost through out the whole fight. also i noticed their were a few times that bojado stunned leija and he was unaware that leija was stunned and let the chance go.

also when he was throwing the jab it looked like bojado was getting the best of leija yet he wasn't throwing it enough. it seemed like bojada stood in front of leija because he was expected to instead of doing what works for him. in the later rounds he did what was needed--which was give a little movement and jab followed by combination punchs.

leija was tired in the later rounds and instead of making leija waste energy by making him come to you, bojado gave leija air by standing with leija at time in the later rounds, this is an error. leija fought back which should have beenn expected but bojado fought the wrong fight and wasn't ready to fight leija cause bojado did a lot of wrong things against leija who is not considered a puncher.

i HOPE this dude comes back. i remember w/ him and cotto coming out of the olympics, salivating at the prospect that these two would hook up in the future.

there really wasn't anything i disliked about bojado .. articulate, great hands and feet and a beautiful variety of punches and FAST.

it was like a bug, ricardo williams and then bojado. i hope he makes a hell of a comeback, but he better do it at 135 - he can take juan diaz EASY.

although, now that hes 23 yrs old ... he may be fitting in @ 140, but he always looked a bit sluggish at 140, he'd a been a monster at 135, and i hope to God he can still be and then eventually fight cotto for a blockbuster pr/mexican fight in the future.

I remember reading somewhere that Bojado beat Cotto twice in the amateurs, and Cotto once. Not sure if its like that or the way around.
