Everyone was saying all along this would be good for boxing because of the visibility. It didn't matter if it wasn't going to be competitive because the boxer would have the upper hand. If Oscar didn't have such a hatred for Mayweather he would have realized that and get some publicity for his fight. Instead he turned a lot a people off with that dumb tweet.

          Today in Yahoo News...
It’s been nearly two years since Mickey Rourke dabbled in boxing for the first time in two decades and scored a second-round TKO over Elliot Seymour in Moscow, Russia. Although many assumed it would be the last time Rourke would be in a boxing ring, it appears that the 64-year-old is interested in lacing up the gloves once again.

The actor, who once flirted with a career in boxing back in the early 1990s, appeared on the “Real Quick with Mike Swick” podcast to address his desire to get back into the squared circle and even revealed that he’s in talks with Oscar De La Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions to have his next fight in California.

And this is why I say Oscar would dig up his mom if he thought she'd sell enough PPV's.

I know a few people that ain't buying it because of Oscar. I for once ain't buying it either and probably won't watch it live. There's a big beer festival that day in my area that I rather attend and spend my money there. Oscar should have taken a page from Tom Loeffler instead of spreading his hate and demanding that people not spend their money on May/Mac.

“I mean, the reason why I keep pushing this fight is because, like you said, this is a real fight. This is a middleweight fight that – we haven’t seen this type of a fight take place in a long time. You have two top guys, two knockout guys, they don’t know how to take a step going backwards. They’re in the best shape of their life, they’re gonna bring out the best of each other and it’s gonna be a war.”
              De la Hoya on Canelo-Chavez:

"We haven’t had a great match-up where the fans know it’s going to be guaranteed action in such a long time. The last time I can remember a fight like this with two Mexicans in the ring is [Marco Antonio] Barrera vs. [Erik] Morales, and that was 17-years-ago. This is the type of fight that excites your boxing fans, your normal boxing fans, when you have Chavez-Canelo and you know it’s a great fight. This is what wins the fans over. This is what creates more fans for a sport we dearly love."

Oscar De La Bitter needs to shut up and get over it. The fight's done. Move on.
