Take your hate for Floyd and throw it in the trash can for once in your life stand up for Boxing, our champion beat the crap out of the over sized blow hard you should be happy with that.
I'm over that fight and I wish every one else was also. We have a real fights coming this weekend and next but half the forum is still posts about this ridiculous "fight"

I don't give a fk about about Floyd or Mcgregor, they did their thing and made tons of money so good for them. But why are people continuing to over analyze an epic mismatch is beyond me.

now, put Floyd in the uff against him and I will give Floyd 45 seconds to be crying with a broken arm on the floor.
Give prime Floyd the training and a 25 lb weight advantage against a 40 yr old retired UFC champion and I beat he will give us more courage and fight that that Plastic Mac did, prime Floyd would KO him with those advantages.

Praise Mcgregor by saying Floyd would look the same fighting In Mcgregors world? That's called the truth, nothing more.

Mcgregor is a loud mouthed snake oil salesman. And people were ****** enough on his side of the fight game to believe he actually had a chance to beat the best fighter of his generation.

Like I said, time to move on.

Ok, if you think so that's your opinion. Mine is they kick him in his shins until his leg feels like it snapped in half and he be on the ground inside 2 minutes tapping out.

The original UFC had no weight classes. Royce Gracie won UFC 1 vs a guy who was 4 inches taller and about 30 pounds heavier by just getting him to the ground and choking him out inside 2 minutes I think. Boxers make a big deal about moving up 4 lbs when they already drain themselves to make a weight so,they have an advantage..

I think his persona outside the ring is mainly to sell tickets/PPV's. Which he does really well. He plays up to what he knows the buying audience will lap up (positively or negatively).

If he was a quiet guy, he wouldn't be as well known. Casuals wouldn't know who he was, and he wouldn't of been able to make a big money fight with Mayweather. No one would of cared.

He had a 'act' (for want of a better word) from day 1, and it's worked a treat for him. He's one of the best known sportsmen in the world.
He's looked at guys like Mayweather, Ali, shit..he even reminds me of Ric Flair at times. He knows to reach out and get the attention of casual (most importantly) and hardcore fans. You need more than being a top fighter, you need to be loud, obnoxious even at times, to get noticed by the mainstream.

Once he gets in the ring/octagon he's not going to be the maniac you see at press conferences (who is?). Like all top fighters, he has a calm when fighting. The guy promoting the fight, is a different person from the actual fighter.

I'd imagine the way he acts is to wind up his opponent also. Aldo is as cool as you like, calm, patient, a long time experienced fighter. But McGregor ramped up the pressure in the build up and turned it into a huge event.
Aldo looked a nervous wreck going into the fight, and McGregor had done a number on him mentally, as Aldo came out and fought completely different to how he normally does. McGregor had got to him.

I think the reason he looked so out of sorts once he got into the ring, was because he was in deep in a sport he doesn't know.
He's a MMA guy, not a boxer. He can't box.
He's not a good boxer and he was fighting a guy who is very good at boxing. He had nothing, and i think he knew it. This was a business venture for him.
