WTF is going on with UK boxing PPV's?

For those in the UK you will know how bad it has become at the end half of 2017.

    Pulev/Joshua on Sky PPV
    Parker/Hughie Fury on YouTube PPV
Eubank against some guy on ITV PPV
    Groves/Cox on ITV PPV

This is all in a one month period too and there's going to be one more Sky PPV in December rumored to be a Bellew fight. The only good channel for boxing anymore is Boxnation/BT Sport who won't even be charging extra for Canelo/GGG.

I don't think any of these fights mentioned are worthy of box office and I think most will bomb pretty bad. I don't think any other country is being plagued with this many PPV's for boxing either.

Crap like this is going to kill boxing in the UK again.

Wrong. If you get Boxnation free through a BT sport package you have to buy the PPV. Only if you subscribe to Boxnation itself do you get the fight free.

id be interested to see the itv ppv figures cause i genuinely cant think of anyone who would buy groves/cox or who bought the eubank ones. the figures msut be absolutely atrocious.doubt many of the public even know hughie fury is fighting, so that will do appallingly aswell.

        Insanity.

ITV want that PPV money while not putting anything into the sport in terms of exposure on free channels, advertising build up shows or anything. Complete joke.

Youtube PPV is just Fat Mick being a terrible promoter and inexplicably not staying aligned with Warren and Boxnation.

Sky are doing what they do. Joshua is a PPV fighter now i get that. But they have a few other fighters like Brook and Bellew who wont fight without PPV money now even though they are probably not that popular.

I will only pay for what i deem worthy as always. Most of this ****e will get streamed.

Increasingly these days we are seeing fights put on PPV not because the event is a must see, but just because networks dont want to pay for the fight out of their own pockets.

It happens in the US too at a higher level with fights like Crawford vs Postol and GG vs Lemiuex.

I really cant see what ITV are going to achieve trying to cram this many PPVs into just a few months. Unless the price of each is massively reduced. They would surely be better off putting at least the QFs on free TV and buulding a bit of momentum for the Semis and the final.

Boxnation is easily the best value for money for a boxing fan in the UK.

Especially since the BT deal we get plenty of top UK action and also still get big cards from the US.

I subscribe to the online service and they have all their content from the last 3 months on their catch up section. Its great being able to scroll through and pick random fights to watch in HD. The app on apple tv is great.

Thats the future of sports viewing let alone boxing. Subscribe to exactly what you want to watch. Watch it when you want to watch it.

I sub to Boxnation anyway so it's technically in the package which is an amazing deal. £12 for Canelo/GGG and more is a steal.

And then there's these idiots charging £15 for Eubank vs. euro bum and £17 for Joshua/Pulev.
