Obviously Golovkin has to beat Canelo. We'll see how that goes but based on what I've seen I don't think Kovalev is nearly as good a P4P fighter has Golovkin. I think Golovkin is more versatile and even does the things Kovalev does but better (jab and power). I think if K and G are same natural weight that Golovkin KO's Kovalev.

I have Ward as a soft #1 P4P. I've said all year I'll wait until after the Canelo-Golovkin fight before making my final call for the year.Comment

Andre Ward is the clear #1 in the world right now. It would be criminal to put ANY fighter over him right now. I don't think the winner of this fight is even better than Kovalev p4p. Kovalev is better than people think, it's a joke how people don't care for him anymore just because he lost to the best fighter in boxing right now.Comment

He relies on dirty tactics and cheating to win his biggest fights. I don't know about you, but I want my #1 to win their fights fair and square with boxing skills and without any controversies. Ward doesn't do that.
#1 spot is vacant as far as I'm concerned. If Canelo/GGG win in dominant fashion then that might change.Comment

Ward won his first belt against Kessler in a fight that was stoped due to excesive bleeding after five "accidental" headbuts by Ward. People who cant see how dirty and protected Ward is by referees judges and commentators are plain ******. Kov won at least 14 of the 20 rounds in both fights and lost twice lolComment

Sounds like you really want to call Trip #1 p4p and are waiting for the Alvarez fight to justify it. If he wins...all credit is due. However 2 quality wins don't make a #1 p4p fighter. Particularly when considering Ward and his two division run and Crawford and the way he has outclassed opponents at two divisions.Comment
