1 - all the abc groups die & we only have one champion per division
2 - walking around weight divisions become the standard
3 - Around half of the lil guy divisions get removed
4 - All fights have a win & a KO bonus
5 - Commissions require a higher level of competition than they currently require to sanction a fight
6 - The top 20 or so promoters join forces to create an elite boxing league & install a impartial party who puts boxing before any promoter, boxer, network & etc & just in general looks out for boxing first.
7 - A more clear & concise, less subjective judging criteria to win a fight are made & judges are judged as to how well they are or aren't keeping with that criteria & move up or down accordingly as they make good or bad decisions.
8 - Boxers should be moved up or down in round length based on winning & losing fights so guys who are winning keep moving up in rounds & fighters who are losing are going down in rounds. So there should only be fighters on win streaks or primarily winning fights at the 8, 10 & 12 round levels or if they were losing primarily they'd be straight dropping down & down & down schedule round length to better match them up vs guys they are more competitive with.
9 - No national anthems or national anthems need to be making some doper sounding anthems, ruins the flow of the fight to throw this bs into the pageantry of a big fight or any size fight
10 - There should be a WBSS-like tournament every 2-4 years in every division to help speed up the process of finding out who's the best fighter in any given divisionComment

Great list, Eff. Regarding #4 The win bonus (or lack of) is something I thought 25 years ago we would have seen by now (ugh) but the KO bonus is straight. I LOVE that!
Regarding #7, you know, I go back to a concept that is as proven as anything when it comes to judging 'fights'. The eyeball test. From elementary (behind the gym) to HS (at the park) you simply watch the fight (**** scoring rounds), and at the end of the fight you just say who won. I know this would never happen, but I gave up scoring fights decades ago and just use that system. It works for me anyway. Perhaps start off by having a fourth judge who, in the event of draws, overrules with his/her eyeball ruling?

There are some MMA leagues who score fights like that, you win based on the whole fight & not by rounds. I never thought about it til I heard of those leagues, but it makes a lot of sense cuz winning the fight doesn't realllllllllly happen 3 minutes at a time & often times in a close fight one guy just looks & feels like the winner more than the other guy despite how you mighta seen 12 3 min segments of the fight.Great list, Eff. And lol yea I used to be a complete dork with scoring fights, but now its rare I score a fight at all & its almost always in a random rbr thread here. I find I enjoy fights more without scoring them & the suspense that people talk about with decisions feels more real to me cuz I legit don't know where things stand or how things should even stand in any close fight.Comment
