Well it's a moot point right? Theoretically speaking doesn't really mirror what would happen in the octagon. Of course a boxer would win if they strictly fought in a stand up but that's not what I was saying. 99% of either fighters would dominate in their craft.

How do you think a boxer goes in a straight stand up fight against an mma fighter?

I don't dispute what you're saying but no elite boxer would dominate an elite MMA fighter in the octagon that's all. It's BS that our boxers would dare pound their chest in boxing but not in the octagon. They need to leave that talk alone.

Give a prime elite boxer 25lbs in weight, over 10 yrs in age, the MMA guy must come out of retirement.

Now we have the Connor Floyd fight in reverse and guess what the MMA guy will be knocked out cold.

The only boxers to go to MMA are washed up like Mercer and Butterbean and they still won, give Lomo 25lbs in the cage lol.

I wasn't arguing bro, just curious to see what people may think. Not that it really matters,but don't forget Holm was a world champion boxer and took out the ufcs biggest star, and couture was never gonna stand and trade with James toney, even with kicks and elbows. Anyway three boxers have ruined 3 mma fighters in the cross over game and I like it that way lol

Kind of a random fight to talk abut. Johnson is excellent, maybe the P4P top MMA guy. He's not a well known name like McGregor though.

Anyway, hopefully all this MMA Vs Boxing talk dies down now.
